“It is a medical procedure that should not be controlled by anyone other than the patient and their doctor. Remove 24 hour waiting period between receipt of counseling materials and procedure. Remove the requirement for a second physician to deem the procedure necessary for abortions after 24 weeks. This can already be waived in a medical emergency.”
David sponsored a bill that bans abortion after fetal cardiac activity is detected, which is around 6 weeks, unless the physician certifies an abortion is necessary.
