Want to contribute to Choice Tracker?
In June 2022, we launched the first version of ChoiceTracker.org, right as Roe v. Wade was overturned.
That summer, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives tried to sneak in a Constitutional Amendment that would set the stage for banning abortion, we crafted clear explanations of the legislation and process, which were shared widely across social media. We became a trusted resource for voters by unearthing past quotes and votes as anti-choice legislators tried their best to hide them.
In November 2022, the Pennsylvania house flipped pro-choice for the first time since 2010, With over 9,000 social media views across the state, and over 10,000 visitors to Choice Tracker.org leading up to election day, we decided that this success was worth building on.
In 2023, motivated to build a tool that could work across the country, we went to work rebuilding and preparing. We launched in Virginia, and again helped thousands of pro-choice Viriginians choose a state legislator that would represent them on this issue.
The Virginia House flipped to pro-choice, and the Senate held its pro-choice majority.
In 2024, we plan to bring Choice Tracker to 10 states. This is a huge undertaking compared to years past. We’ve spent the past year building the infrastructure to support this growth, and are now looking for volunteers and funding to make it a reality.
If you’re interested in partnering to bring Choice Tracker to your state, please reach out to partners@choicetracker.org.
We’re putting together a volunteer team of lawyers, researchers, and content experts.
