“This morning, the Kansas Supreme Court upheld the right to an abortion in the Constitution and struck down laws that put restrictions on reproductive freedom. As the attacks on bodily autonomy continue in the #ksleg, this is an important victory!”

“SB 232, vetoed by Governor Kelly today, would have not only jeopardized the right to an abortion, but also IVF treatments. Im glad we have a Governor who stands with the majority of Kansans who want to protect reproductive freedom. #ksleg”

“This afternoon, Governor Kelly vetoed SB 232, one of the most dangerous bills passed by the Kansas Legislature this session. Under the guise of providing child support to pregnant women, it's true intention was to codify fetal personhood into state statue. Not only could this law have jeopardized the right to an abortion, but also IVF treatments. Kansas voters said loud and clear on August 2nd NO to restricting reproductive freedom. While the legislature may not listen to us, I'm glad we have a Governor who does.”
