“Affordable healthcare, politicians staying out of the exam room, and lowering property taxes are important across the political spectrum. I knocked one door last night, and a young woman answered and we spoke about LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, and the fact that she didn’t know that there were others with similar views running for office, yet alone in her area! I wrapped our conversation, and moved on to the next house on my list. On the way back to my car, her mom walked out on their porch and asked me to bring a yard sign because she was ecstatic that someone with their shared values was running to represent THEM, and was willing to defend her daughter’s rights.”
