“Like the vast majority of citizens, I don't believe abortion should be used as a form of birth control or in unnecessary late-term or partial-birth procedures. I also believe discussions around reproductive health should primarily occur in a doctor's office, not in the political arena. That's why I've been clear in my support for our state's laws allowing first trimester abortions for any reason, and later abortions with a doctor's approval or in exceptional cases. Frankly, this position aligns with the majority of voters in our community. I'd be interested to know where my opponent stands on this issue. I am committed to expanding reproductive rights and expanding resources for mothers and children in need.”
