Q: Should North Carolina change its abortion laws? How? A: Abortion should be banned starting at some point during the first trimester. Q: Please add anything else voters should know about your position on the legality or availability of abortion in North Carolina. A: I believe the current law allowing abortions up to 20 weeks is too long. I don’t believe the votes exist in the General Assembly for an abortion ban, but shortening the period that abortion is legal is a measure I believe is supported by the vast majority of citizens in my district.
