Emory Dunahoo

State Representative,
Georgia House District 31

The proof:

Emory sponsored a bill that deems all abortions, from the moment of fertilization, to be homicides, except if performed to save the life of the mother. It removes current protections for cases of rape, incest, or medical emergency.

What to do now:

Tell Emory they do not represent you:

This legislator is dangerous. Their position on abortion is completely out of touch: advocating for some of the most extreme abortion bans being considered right now.

What to say:

Call your legislator and make it clear that they are going too far. Try to urge them to walk away from their most extreme positions.

  • Introduce yourself, including your relation to the district.
  • Emphasize your role in the local community.
  • Explain why you do not agree with their position. Personal stories that exemplify the problems these bans would create are helpful.
  • Ask if they will protect the right to an abortion in such cases.
  • If they say no, ask them how they plan to fund more public childcare and maternal healthcare.

The latest from Emory

Rep. Dunahoo personally solicited votes in the House to insure passage of the Heartbeat and Fetal Pain bills in the legislature. It is a shame that liberal judges have held up this bills passed earlier by the legislature. When did it become ok to protect the whales but sacrifice the unborn? Rep. Dunahoo believes in the paramount sanctity of life and has always supported legislation that protects the unborn. It's that simple.

We have buzzwords we use all the time, like the heartbeat. I supported that (Heartbeat Bill)…but if you believe in God's word, God's word says that life starts at conception," "We're looking at saying if you're going to go ahead and abort this child, there will be consequences. That means that the female can be charged with murder, however that doesn't mean that every one will be charged with murder. Every case will stand up on its own.
