I was honored to cast a yes vote on House Bill 481(The Heartbeat Bill) when it passed. I commend Attorney General Chris Carr for his quick action to implement House Bill 481 immediately. Last week Roe V. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States. The opinion was written by Justice Alito and stated that: The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives.
