Blake Tillery

State Senator,
Georgia Senate District 19

Republican

The proof:

Blake sponsored a bill that would restrict access to abortion pills by requiring an in-person examination and ultrasound by a “qualified” physician at least 24 hours prior to giving the pills, with mandated informed consent provisions intended to dissuade, and extensive reporting requirements and enormous potential penalties for the physician.

The latest from Blake

Senator Blake Tillery is 100% pro-life. He has been a champion for the unborn and Blake will always speak for those who can’t speak themselves! BEFORE the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, Senator Tillery was a leader in the effort to pass the “Fetal Heartbeat” bill. The bill is simple – if you can detect a heartbeat you can’t abort the baby. Of course the liberal Democrats sued to overturn the law. Blake & the other conservatives knew the legislation might be a stretch but once Roe was overturned, then Georgia had a law on the books!

“This chamber’s already spoken,” Tillery said. “We spoke four years ago. We said that we believe that heartbeat began life, and if you still take that position or if you believe that you should support families, then you’re going to have to reject … the amendment."
