“Women must be treated equally in the eyes of the law, and fully enabled to make their own decisions about how they choose to live their lives. My wife, my daughters, my sisters must not be treated as if they have less rights than me, a man. The government should not be dictating what, when, and how women make the difficult choice to undergo an abortion or to have a child, for any reason. In my view, eliminating abortion care, eliminating reproductive care, is equivalent to eliminating a woman’s right to full healthcare. Women must be supported in these decisions as they choose what happens to their own bodies, and their lives.”
Amendment 4 will limit government interference with abortion in Florida. It blocks the implementation of laws that prohibit, delay, or restrict abortion access. If passed, Amendment 4 will nullify the current Florida abortion ban and provide a constitutional right to abortion before viability.
